As I sit on the brink of a new year, a new decade, it is a great time to reflect. We have finished off our third season at Sunrise Farms. This season brought lots of adventures as we battled the elements of a Maine December each weekend. Mother Nature seemed to have something new and different in store for us every weekend. Thanksgiving Day treated us to a substantial amount of snow, which led to a snowy, windy opening day. The next weekend brought a more mild enjoyable experience for those searching for their Christmas tree. Our last full weekend provided us with ice, rain, and mud! Once again, it was so exciting to be part of our customers' Christmas traditions and truly appreciate those willing to take on the elements to find and cut down a tree. We saw familiar faces and new faces and are thankful for each and every person and family that made the trip to Benedicta.
We are now looking ahead to the work that awaits us next spring and summer. New trees will be planted to replace those that have been cut. Throughout the summer, mowing and trimming will occur so that there are plenty of beautiful trees for customers to choose from next year. We hope to expand our product options beyond wreaths and trees next season. Stay tuned for what we hope to bring to Sunrise Farms next year!
